Shay Lemond serves as the Alabama Principal Broker for Benchmark Investors Group, where she oversees the firm’s brokerage operations within the state and supports the firm’s continued growth across commercial real estate sectors including hospitality, fuel and convenience retail, land, and development projects.


Shay brings a strong foundation in economics, real estate, and market analysis to her role. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master of Science in the International Economy of Resources from the Colorado School of Mines. Her academic work focused on global resource markets, economic development, and the economic forces that drive regional growth and real estate investment.


Licensed in Alabama since 2018, Shay has built experience working with property owners, investors, and developers evaluating commercial real estate opportunities and navigating market dynamics. Her background in economic analysis allows her to approach transactions with a broader understanding of regional growth trends, demographic shifts, and the underlying factors influencing real estate markets.


Prior to joining Benchmark Investors Group, Shay’s professional experience also included advising clients on financial strategy and long-term planning, providing additional perspective on how real estate assets fit within broader capital strategies.


At Benchmark Investors Group, Shay plays a key role in supporting brokerage operations while working alongside the firm’s team to expand the company’s presence and partnerships across the Southeast.
