Alex Hardy serves as the Principal Broker in the Huntsville, AL office utilizing his broad experience in commercial sales, and property entitlement and development. While previously working for Colliers International and other regional brokerages, Alex has worked both as a buyer’s broker and listing agent. He has been the principal broker involved in the acquisition and disposition of various commercial properties. Some of his most notable transactions include representing clients in the purchase of land for lodging/hospitality, warehouse/industrial, and multifamily/residential developments. He has also managed the marketing, recruitment, and leasing process for retail, general office, and medical office space requirements.
Early in his career, Alex was a site selection consultant for the Fluor Corporation in Greenville, SC, advising Fortune 100 firms in the process of siting new manufacturing facilities. This work included reviewing client business practices and requirements, qualifying compatible locations and sites, and analyzing local business climates and public-sector incentives. He also served as Director of the second-largest research park in the USA, Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, AL, where he recruited new business investments, was instrumental in the development of a master-planned commercial sector, and assisted some of the world’s largest aerospace and defense companies with local operational and expansion projects.
Alex is a proud veteran of the US Army, where he served in the 2/14th Field Artillery, stationed in West Germany during the Cold War. He earned a Master’s degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University.
